A Festive Fête Guide

Your December calendar is about to fill up! Get into the holiday spirit and take in one (or all!) of these fantastic events.

Luminaria

Escape to the UofA Botanic Gardens’ peaceful candle-lit pathways of the Kurimoto Japanese Garden. You’ll see some beautiful ice sculptures, hear a capella singers filling the air with sounds cheer, and stay cozy while sipping on some hot apple cider. November 27 – January 9.

A Christmas Carol

Start a new family tradition and head over to the Citadel Theatre to catch this Charles Dickens’ holiday classic. David van Belle’s adaptation of this Christmas tale is filled with Christmas tunes, magical scenes and of course, visits from the Ghosts of Christmas. November 27 – December 23.

The Winter Wonder Forest

Wander through seven gorgeous acres of enchanting forest that have been illuminated by glimmering lights. New this year: Families will be able to explore the outdoor-only experience on foot and participate in a variety of activities. November 25 – January 9

Glow

This beloved, family-friendly indoor holiday festival is back to add (a lot) of sparkle to the season. With a million twinkling lights on display, you’ll have the chance to enjoy lovely light gardens, glowing activities, plus an artisan market filled with treats. November 24th – January 2.

Here’s to the happiest of holidays and cheers to a healthy 2022!
